Daily Blessings

Now I know this is intended as an insightful and possibly inspiring blog but I was stuck with what to write for this blog, and even which direction to go in. So like I do with everything else…I took to google to get some ideas. I then stumbled across an extremely ‘uplifting’ list of blessings we have in life. On this list was things like wisdom, protection, purpose, and free will…to which on this one I read it as ‘free wiFi‘ so in a freak turn of events I’m going to start off with that twist.

  1. Free WiFi – I know this is shallow in someway when we look around at the world at what we’ve been given and the life we have, but I am grateful for free WiFi. I mean firstly because I have a blog…I mean I can’t go a day without checking my stats to see what countries have looked at me. Another good reason for free WiFi is, if what I’m planning takes off (going travelling), I need wi-fi to be able to contact my family without spending money.
  2. Freedom – This ones a bit more profound. I am grateful for freedom. I’m grateful for the freedom to be able to do what I want, wear what I want, and be who I want. There’s so much freedom we have in this life that we don’t realise when compared to others…it’s crazy to think about it.
  3. Nature – It’s a beautiful world we have, and we waste it by being stuck inside doing pointless daily tasks. Theres so much to experience and learn, and it’s right outside our doors.
  4. Having a voice – Everyone has their own opinions, and they have a choice to voice it in a number of ways. Whether people listen or not, the chance of one person listening and it influencing them in some way is massive. So be brave, and maybe even take a stand.
  5. Having support – there’s a lot that happens in life, but even if there’s only one person to offer support it’s normally gratefully accepted. Especially through tough times and even if it’s by doing the smallest act of kindness…it goes a long way…

5 Places I want to visit!

This is not an easy list to make, as I would like to travel everywhere in world. However as this is a list for five so I shall generalise to some extent…

  1. Europe – It’s ‘right on my doorstep’ and built up of so much history and beauty that it would be a shame not to see.
  2. Majority of America – I think this would mainly be due to the food options, but there are also a lot of places I’ve researched that I would visit as soon as I landed including the 9/11 Memorial.
  3. South Africa – Mainly for the wildlife, obviously I’d be very careful and do loads of research before I even considered booking my flights due to the crime level but it would be an amazing experience.
  4. Thailand – the beaches, the beauty, the atmosphere…just everything!
  5. China – I mean it would just be rude not to!

In my life I’d like to see as many places as I can cram in. I’ve mentioned before in a post…the world is here for us, it’s stupid not to explore and discover it ourselves. There’s so much more to life then doing the same job everyday with barely any rewards when we can live life the way we should, by experiencing it! As Louis Cole says “Live the adventure. Boom”.

Morning walk!

Being woken up by my mum on a Sunday morning at five to eight would normally get a bad response. Luckily this morning I was in a good mood! I had a good sleep, barely anything on my mind and good plans for the day. The walk lasted around about an hour, just enough time for the rain from the previous night that hung on the grass and sparkled in the sun to dry up.

Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that can make your day a bit brighter. Hope you all have a good morning, and if you do go for a walk…walk in quiet places!

“I think what you notice most when you haven’t been home in a while is how much the trees have grown around your memories.” – Mitch Albom, Tuesdays With Morrie.

Absent Minded

As I look up absent mindedly at the moon I think how is it that something in the sky created among nature can shine so brightly, but yet no one truly knows how or who created it. An object with such mystery, but yet so unique as nothing else has the same form or same markings or even the same significance. Then the clouds cover it every now and then like a child in need to play hide and seek. For anyone who will take the time to look up and admire its exsistance and beauty.

“Sometimes, they say, the moon is so busy with the new souls of the world that it disappears from the sky. This is why we have moonless nights. But in the end, the moon always returns, as do we all.” – Mitch Albom, Tuesdays With Morrie.
