Packing…

Okay so basically I’m off to Poland in 2 days, and this is the most unprepared for a trip I’ve ever been and to be honest….it upsets me. So to avoid any more procrastination I’m basically going to write a list on a blog…in the added hope that it means I won’t forget anything for the trip.

But before that here’s a few details! I’m going to Krakow with my oldest friend for five days, our aim is mainly to soak up the history of Poland with Auschwitz being at the top of our list. We’ve rented an apartment from a man off Airbnb which will be a new experience for me, so I hope it goes smoothly. It’s located just outside the city centre which means we will be doing quite a bit of walking (which I like anyway). And I’ve been keeping an eye on the weather which seems to be varying between 2 and -2 degrees celsius so some warm clothes will be essential as I’m cold majority of the time anyway. Ok so let’s start.

Toiletries:
Toothbrush (Obviously, can’t get anywhere without that)
Toothpaste
Deodorant
Perfume (Not a necessity but I like to smell like a flower)
Shampoo (Aussie, only the best)
Condition (Aussie again, I’m slightly obsessed)
Shower Gel (Shop and Glory…duh!)

Clothes:
2 Hats (you may be thinking two hats for five days, tad excessive, but I already took out one hat!)
6 Pair’s of socks (you never know when you’ll need a spare pair!)
‘Lady garments'(undies)
5 Jumpers (Can’t be wearing the same one twice when I bought some nice one’s just for this trip!)
3 Pairs of Jeans
2 Pairs of thermal leg wear and tops (Hey I already said I get cold…)
1 Pair of gloves
1 Scarf

Shoes:
1 pair of walking boots (Again we will be doing a lot of walking, duh!)
1 pair of trainers (In the hope that one day it won’t be snowing)

Extras:
Make up bag (To attempt to look pretty)
Jewellery (Everyone needs accessories)
Tissues (I don’t know what will happen at Auschwitz emotion wise)
Camera
Krakow Guidebook (Ok so I’m prepared to some extent)
Important Documents

Ok so that could be without doubt one of the most boring blogs…or if your off to Poland during winter, you know, that could actually have been quite helpful. Anyway at least I’m packed now! Let the Poland adventures begin!

STOP WHAT YOUR DOING! Autumn is here…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I LOVE AUTUMN. So stop what you’re doing right now and take this is…autumn is here for you! BUT are you ready?

No this isn’t just a blog to notify you of the start of the best season. This is basically your go to guide, a mini handbook if you will…of how to make that transition between the season of sweat and the season of crunchy leaves.

First things first. Hot drinks! Leave the ice behind, the cold is coming for you. Now I know in warmer countries, you probably want to keep the ice around all year-long. But come on guys this is England, and it gets cold here…fast. So unless your drinking some sort of frappuccino, just forget about ice, your just making it worse for yourself.

Second on the list of amendments is clothing. Go right to the back of your wardrobe and pull out anything that screams autumn/winter. I’m talking boots, scarfs, big coats, tights, jumpers, and….the fluffy socks!! (this might not apply if your like me and wear them all year round). Anyway it’s time to start wrapping up warm so layer up!

This leads onto the next change of make up. Now that there’s less chance of us sweating off half a face of make up while we’re at work or just out and about, we can wear it all again. This means autumn eyeshadow, with some serious blending! And of course dark lipstick, the holy grail. Get ready for some dark red lips on Instagram!

Back to the food side of things, now that we don’t have to bare flesh we can start being a little bit more naughty again. So what if you accidentally skip the fruit and go for a chocolate pudding smothered in warm custard. Or even that bacon and brie panini instead of the standard salad. It’s okay! Not many people will see your body now until next year. (Probably shouldn’t be saying this when I’ve just started the gym like!)

Last thing on the agenda! Spending! For some reason I think I spend the most money in this season. Whether its candles, fleece blankets, books I’ll plan to (but never will) read, some random room decorations, or again a massive amount of fluffy socks…if it’s in the shops, it’s in my basket!

Anyway I’m sure I could go on and on but I’ll let you get back to the rest of your day now. Don’t forget this month I’ll be attempting my own blogtober…so keep your eyes peeled! 😘

Best Fashion Buys Of 2016 So Far…

Ok so this is part two to a blog I did a couple of weeks ago listing the best beauty buys, now were back for my top ten list of best fashion buys so far. So here we go…

IMG_93571.Crop Top’s – This year I’ve come to the realisation that my body doesn’t look as bad as I seemto think,so I’ve decided to be a bit more confident with what I wear so this means getting the dreaded stomach out. These are unbelievably cheap but the quality is amazing. Highly recommend. *£3.99 Zara.*

IMG_69332. Soft Bra’s – Sometime’s a girl needs more options than just the structured bra’s for one’s ‘possessions’. As the title suggests, these are a soft bra for days when your boobs have just had enough of being restricted. There’s also a variety of colours. *£12.99 (for a pack of two) H&M.*

IMG_69003. White Converse – A basic necessity for a wardrobe. They’re comfy, they go with pretty much everything, and as an added bonus they’re one of the few items of clothing that
actually looks better dirty. Win win situation. *£45.00 Office.*

IMG_93594. Red Raincoat – I’d been searching for one of these for ages, I needed a light jacket that was rainproof for those amazing rainy summers we get in England. And this is perfect, it’s
light, showerproof and has a sleek shiny look to it. *£19.99 Zara.*

IMG_69515. Black Lace-up Heels – I’d seen a few people wearing heels like these but I was too tight to buy any for the prices I’d seen, until I found them in Primark. They have a chunky heel, just incase you’re not as confident with heels…especially on a
night out and you can make them as tight or as loose as you want due to the laces. *£15.00 Primark.*

IMG_93606.Black Tassel Bag – I found this in the sale, and it’s turned out to be such a great find! It has two main sections, and it can be used as an over the shoulder
bag or even a big clutch bag. It’s now used on a day-to-day basis. *£6 Topshop.*

IMG_93647. Topshop Jamie Jeans – Who doesn’t own a pair of jeans. At the moment I’m favouring these over any others. They’re high-waisted so it holds in any flab no one wants to know about and so far they don’t seem to lose their shape, even after multiple washes.*£16 (on sale) Topshop.*

IMG_93588. Taco Shirt – Who doesn’t need a shirt with random stuff on? It’s great for a casual day. It’s simple and basic and I love it.*£5.99 Stradivarius.*

IMG_93619. H&M Watch – I’m a bit of a watch fiend, and for a while I’d been looking for a watch similar to the Casio watches…when I came across this. At first I didn’t expect it to have a
lot of the features that it does due to it being a bit like a dupe of the Casio watches. But after I got it out of its box I was pleasantly surprised, and it’s a bit more unusual due to the pattern on it.*£14.99 H&M.*

IMG_936210. Four Leaf Clover Necklace – What kind of girl can resist a sparkly bit of jewellery? Let’s be honest my collection, until I saw this. It’s so pretty and with it being in the shape of a
four leaf clover, part of me hopes it will bring me some
luck!*£8.99 The Gift Company.*

That’s all for now, see you in the next one…

Thing’s I’m Bad At…

In life, no one is ‘perfect‘. I mean sure there’s them people that walk around; with their perfect hair, their perfect dream job, their perfect loving partner and seem to have everything together…but really they have flaws. EVERYONE has flaws…even Leonardo DiCaprio :O. So in short, this is a list of the things I suck at in life.

  1. Eating Breakfast – In a ideal world…I’d wake up early. Cleanse and moisturise my face. Then go get a healthy and nutritional breakfast to start off the day! But in reality I’m lazy. Lazy in the sense that I’d happily have those few extra minutes in the warm comfort of my bed…and then be hungry at work.
  2. Cleansing and Moisturising my face – All through life you will hear the saying “Look after your face when you are young, and you’ll look amazing when you hit 50”. That could all be well and true, but again when presented with the option of staying in bed or doing something which may help your skin later on in life…you know where to find me.
  3. Clothes Mountain – Ok so, If I wear something once for a few hours I won’t send it to be washed. Because in my opinion (even though my mum would differ) it is still clean. I mean unless I’ve rolled around in mud or been caught in a torrential rain storm. So once I’ve taken it off, I’ll put it on a chair in my room…with the intention to either put it away later or wear it the next day (outfit repeater :0 shock horror). However after a while of doing this, a mini mountain will begin to form on my chair, which you know is a issue I can deal with…until it turns into a avalanche.
  4. Updating my Computer – So normally I’m really good with keeping things updated. I’m one of these people that can’t stand notifications. I have to open apps, and emails to just make the little number disappear. Like when my iPhone wants a update and a little 1 appears next to settings, I need it gone. So I just update it. BUT on my mac…oh man it’s a whole other story. As a lover of YouTube I can’t deal with my laptop being out of action for so long. Yes I could watch it on my phone…but I’m all about that big screen. Plus to me the software updates seem unneeded as nothing ever seems to change.
  5. Document Hoarder – There’s a lot of unnecessary documents we get given in life. But unlike a normal person, there are some things I just can’t seem to throw away. This is anything from old drama work, to paying in slips. In my mind, you never know when you’ll need it. Granted you probably wouldn’t be able to find it when the time came to wanting it but still…you never know. Im sure I’ll get rid of it all. One day.

So there you have it, ‘a selection’ list of things I’m bad at. I could go on but we could be here a while. But do you know what, they are flaws, but they are also what make me who I am. So…that’s ok.

Brace yourself…Autumn is here!

I love Autumn. You still get some warm days, but other days you can pull out your beanie hat and not have to worry about doing you hair…at least I don’t. Anyway there are a few things I always like to do and stock up on as soon as Autumn hits…so without further ado here it is!

  1. A Haircut – I know this is a monthly thing to have done but as soon as Autumn hits, I get the urge to do something different with my hair. Last year it was putting in a full fringe, and this years I’m thinking about changing the length to a bit shorter than I’ve normally been…although I do think I’d like to have my fringe put back in…maybe next month.
  2. Hats – These are one of the best inventions ever in my opinion. They keep your ears warm, hide the bush that I call hair, make you look cute…occasionally. What more could you want!
  3. Fluffy Socks – Come on. Who doesn’t already have these! Even if it’s not cold I wear these, but in Autumn I NEED them. They’re great with boots, and even better when snuggled under a blanket watching a film and eating chocolate…anyway.
  4. Lip Balm – this is definitely a necessity! Who wants dry lips? Especially with eczema. Not good, so even if it’s not that cold I have to prepare for colder days.
  5. Boots – This is actually one thing I hate about autumn, having to find a good pair of boots. It’s just so hard finding the right height so your legs don’t look fat, the right heel size, the right colour ugh so many different specifications! But once you find ‘THE’ pair, your autumn outfits are complete!
  6. Moisturiser – this definitely applies to me because like I said earlier I suffer with eczema. So again you have to be prepared. You have to look after your skin as much as possible before winter hits, especially your face!
  7. Films/TV programs – This is where Netflix is brilliant! As soon as autumn hits it’s as if I’m permanently in my PJ’s from the moment I get home from work. And what better way to entertain myself than having a film fest! There’s a full list of films I’ve wanted to see but never got round to, so autumn gives me the perfect chance to do this!
  8. Tights – I love Jeans but jeans only look good so many days in a row, and of course it’s too cold to wear dresses or skirts bare-legged so the solution is tights! Warm, fluffy, thermal tights!

That’s just a basic list of my necessities from Autumn anyway, I’m sure there’s plenty more that I’ve forgotten! Anyway Bring on the cold!!!
