You smell good!

On a recent shopping trip I came across a bargain. A bargain so good I just couldn’t keep it to myself. So I love Zara, but what I like most about it is the fact that you can get some amazing items for a low price…for example t-shirt’s! I bought a short-sleeved stripes t-shirt from there the other day which is super soft, and it was only £5.99!

Anyway that’s a different story. The bargain of this story is perfume. While I was in Zara I was drawn over to the perfume section, spraying every scent on me in any space of my body I could find that I hadn’t already used. Anyway so even though they were only £9.99 I just couldn’t decide between them all. Until. I found the holy grail of Zara perfume. It was a pack of two 100ml bottles for just £12.99. Oh. My. God. What was previously a day of unfulfilled shopping hopes and dreams, was now a day to rejoice.  So the two that I got in the pack are called ‘Femme’ and ‘Twilight Mauve’…and they smell amazing!

Anyway so in light of these amazing perfumes, I thought I’d round this blog up with my TOP 5 favourite perfumes (in no particular order):

1.  Hugo Boss – Deep Red
2. Marc Jacobs – Dot
3. Next – Just Pink
4. Stradivarius – Cosy Vanilla
5. Next – Femme/Twilight Mauve

If you have any recommendations of perfumes you think I should try please leave them below in the comments. Thanks! Oh and what are you waiting for? Get yourself to Zara!

STOP WHAT YOUR DOING! Autumn is here…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I LOVE AUTUMN. So stop what you’re doing right now and take this is…autumn is here for you! BUT are you ready?

No this isn’t just a blog to notify you of the start of the best season. This is basically your go to guide, a mini handbook if you will…of how to make that transition between the season of sweat and the season of crunchy leaves.

First things first. Hot drinks! Leave the ice behind, the cold is coming for you. Now I know in warmer countries, you probably want to keep the ice around all year-long. But come on guys this is England, and it gets cold here…fast. So unless your drinking some sort of frappuccino, just forget about ice, your just making it worse for yourself.

Second on the list of amendments is clothing. Go right to the back of your wardrobe and pull out anything that screams autumn/winter. I’m talking boots, scarfs, big coats, tights, jumpers, and….the fluffy socks!! (this might not apply if your like me and wear them all year round). Anyway it’s time to start wrapping up warm so layer up!

This leads onto the next change of make up. Now that there’s less chance of us sweating off half a face of make up while we’re at work or just out and about, we can wear it all again. This means autumn eyeshadow, with some serious blending! And of course dark lipstick, the holy grail. Get ready for some dark red lips on Instagram!

Back to the food side of things, now that we don’t have to bare flesh we can start being a little bit more naughty again. So what if you accidentally skip the fruit and go for a chocolate pudding smothered in warm custard. Or even that bacon and brie panini instead of the standard salad. It’s okay! Not many people will see your body now until next year. (Probably shouldn’t be saying this when I’ve just started the gym like!)

Last thing on the agenda! Spending! For some reason I think I spend the most money in this season. Whether its candles, fleece blankets, books I’ll plan to (but never will) read, some random room decorations, or again a massive amount of fluffy socks…if it’s in the shops, it’s in my basket!

Anyway I’m sure I could go on and on but I’ll let you get back to the rest of your day now. Don’t forget this month I’ll be attempting my own blogtober…so keep your eyes peeled! 😘

Best Fashion Buys Of 2016 So Far…

Ok so this is part two to a blog I did a couple of weeks ago listing the best beauty buys, now were back for my top ten list of best fashion buys so far. So here we go…

IMG_93571.Crop Top’s – This year I’ve come to the realisation that my body doesn’t look as bad as I seemto think,so I’ve decided to be a bit more confident with what I wear so this means getting the dreaded stomach out. These are unbelievably cheap but the quality is amazing. Highly recommend. *£3.99 Zara.*

IMG_69332. Soft Bra’s – Sometime’s a girl needs more options than just the structured bra’s for one’s ‘possessions’. As the title suggests, these are a soft bra for days when your boobs have just had enough of being restricted. There’s also a variety of colours. *£12.99 (for a pack of two) H&M.*

IMG_69003. White Converse – A basic necessity for a wardrobe. They’re comfy, they go with pretty much everything, and as an added bonus they’re one of the few items of clothing that
actually looks better dirty. Win win situation. *£45.00 Office.*

IMG_93594. Red Raincoat – I’d been searching for one of these for ages, I needed a light jacket that was rainproof for those amazing rainy summers we get in England. And this is perfect, it’s
light, showerproof and has a sleek shiny look to it. *£19.99 Zara.*

IMG_69515. Black Lace-up Heels – I’d seen a few people wearing heels like these but I was too tight to buy any for the prices I’d seen, until I found them in Primark. They have a chunky heel, just incase you’re not as confident with heels…especially on a
night out and you can make them as tight or as loose as you want due to the laces. *£15.00 Primark.*

IMG_93606.Black Tassel Bag – I found this in the sale, and it’s turned out to be such a great find! It has two main sections, and it can be used as an over the shoulder
bag or even a big clutch bag. It’s now used on a day-to-day basis. *£6 Topshop.*

IMG_93647. Topshop Jamie Jeans – Who doesn’t own a pair of jeans. At the moment I’m favouring these over any others. They’re high-waisted so it holds in any flab no one wants to know about and so far they don’t seem to lose their shape, even after multiple washes.*£16 (on sale) Topshop.*

IMG_93588. Taco Shirt – Who doesn’t need a shirt with random stuff on? It’s great for a casual day. It’s simple and basic and I love it.*£5.99 Stradivarius.*

IMG_93619. H&M Watch – I’m a bit of a watch fiend, and for a while I’d been looking for a watch similar to the Casio watches…when I came across this. At first I didn’t expect it to have a
lot of the features that it does due to it being a bit like a dupe of the Casio watches. But after I got it out of its box I was pleasantly surprised, and it’s a bit more unusual due to the pattern on it.*£14.99 H&M.*

IMG_936210. Four Leaf Clover Necklace – What kind of girl can resist a sparkly bit of jewellery? Let’s be honest my collection, until I saw this. It’s so pretty and with it being in the shape of a
four leaf clover, part of me hopes it will bring me some
luck!*£8.99 The Gift Company.*

That’s all for now, see you in the next one…

Small Changes…

Although I said I wouldn’t be creating a list of new years resolutions, there is a couple of small things I’d like to try to do this year. I won’t class them as resolutions as they will just be on going improvements. Anyway here goes…

  1. Wear heels more – as a small girl I will always need more height, and what better way to solve this than with fancy shoes or boots! Also they of course add to the sex appeal…not.
  2. Not be on my phone as much – in today’s world we as a whole are anti social or ‘zombie-like’ if you will. So I think this is a good way to begin reconnecting with the world again.
  3. Go out more – I’ve never really been a drinker, but I’ve come to the realisation that I’m only young once. Also as the years go on my body won’t react as well with alcohol as it does when your younger…or so I’ve heard.
  4. Sing – I love to sing! Let it be known not very well, but what’s that to stop me. Confidence can pull off anything. Well almost everything.
  5. Save money! – Travelling isn’t cheap, and seen as it’s one of the things I want to do this year…I really need to save money.
  6. Try and find the perfect foundation – this is a constant battle. I hate spending money on something that never matches. They either dry my face out or turn me into a Oompa Loompa and that’s just not a good look!
  7. Use my camera more! – I love taking photos, I even took the time to set up a Facebook page for it…but I just don’t take enough photos. So from now on I’m going to just go on random walks every so often, plus it means I get to see the hidden areas of lovely Yorkshire!
  8. Listen to more music – I like a bit of everything when it comes to music, but it’s quite rare I just put my iPod on anymore. To add to this I’m also going to try to keep up to date with new music because I always seem to be a hundred years behind everyone else and never know new bands names.
  9. Let go – I try not to do this a lot but there just certain things I can’t seem to let go of, so its time. As Elsa says “let it go”
  10. Don’t over think! – This is just a constant battle as a girl. For some reason we all just seem to have a tendency to think way to far into everything so this year, I’m going to aim to just roll with everything and not think as much…we’ll see how that pans out.

LETS DO IT!

Becoming Girly…

When I was younger I always thought I was classed as ‘girly’…however when I reached the world of ‘womanhood’ I realised just how wrong I was. The world just seemed so much easier as a little girl, but now… ugh. There’s make up, waxing, plucking, dressing up, attitude, presentation and don’t even get me started on the whole body changing period issue.

Some women just seem take it all in naturally, but for some of us we struggle instead. We don’t know how to do some of the stuff we are supposed to; and you can YouTube it or even research it all you like, and still be none the wiser. But you see the thing is, once you hit a certain age the problem isn’t how to be ‘girly’ it’s more how to be sexy…and that is a whole new obstacle.

Basically this is just an update of where I am now…in my mind. Pretty pointless really but I guess we all go through it at some stage…my stage begins now.

Foundation…

Now normally I love shopping. However one thing I actually hate to buy is… foundation. There’s just so many choices, all for different skins types, in a mass variety of shades and colours, and majority of them costing quite a bit to a girl who can only get part time jobs (not through choice).

Now I think a lot of guys reading this could believe there’s a simple solution to this problem. Just don’t buy it! But there’s so many reasons why we feel we must. For example to make ourselves feel better. I mean most days majority of women can’t just roll out of bed and look ‘hot as hell’. For some of us it takes a little bit more than that.

Anyway getting back into what I was talking about, the whole process of finding a brand new foundation after deciding you fancy a change from your ‘normal’ foundation is just all in all stressful. Yes you can do research before going to the shops, because after all the internet is packed full of blog reviews, vlog reviews and even just shop reviews. But that just isn’t enough! Reading a review online and having the product at hand are two completely different things. I mean I do the swab test (on the back of my hand) and sometimes even that’s not helpful. It’s as if the product changes from the time you put it on the back of your hand, go to purchase it, and then get it home! Before you know it that’s £9 you’ve wasted on a product you hate.

Am I the only on who has this thought process? Is there no solution to this nightmare….or am I just being a massive girl?

Ughhh! *exhales* Rant over!
